Hi, I'm Tal Gur, author of The Art of Fully Living: 1 Man. 10 Years. 100 Life Goals Around the World, One Year To Freedom: A Life-changing Roadmap to Living Life On Your Own Terms, and several other books and guides.
I founded Elevate Society for the purpose of helping others to elevate so they can make a bigger, more conscious impact on society. I'll be using this space to share transformational journeys, elevating insights, and impactful lessons I've learned along the way.
You're in the right place if you want to explore more about:
- Elevating into your potential
- Designing your dream life
- Realizing big goals
- Becoming financially abundant
- Living a conscious and meaningful life
For as long as I can remember, I was intrigued by the endless possibilities of self-expression. I have traveled extensively and spent a decade pursuing 100 life goals around the globe.
My journey, however, had its challenges. Like most people, I faced self-doubt, hurdles, and uncertainties. But as I progressed in my journey, I began to realize this is just part of the deal and that behind every challenge there is a life-changing gift.
Here's a quick summary of my journey thus far:
At the turn of the millennium, after several years of working in the high-tech world and feeling that there was something missing, I decided to change direction and follow a lifelong dream of mine: living and studying in Australia.
While being in Australia, I found myself constantly seeking new challenges, overextending myself in all aspects of life, ultimately resulting in writing a long list of life goals. That list inspired me to leave my stable job, become an entrepreneur and live in different parts of the world for close to a decade.
A few of the journeys I went through:
- Achieving location and financial independence in one year
- Participating in an Ironman Triathlon in New Zealand
- Leaving 9-5 and going on an indefinite round the world trip
- Fundraising and building a new home for a Peruvian family who lost everything
- Helping building a school for a small village in Dominican Republic
- Going on a yearlong surfing adventure around the world
- Learning how to become a Muay Thai Kickboxing fighter in Thailand
- Embarking on a 4WD journey around Australia cutting through the outback
- Volunteering in an Autism treatment center in the U.S. for a number of months
- Train-traveling across Europe, driving around Italy, Spain, and the Swiss Alps
- Trekkking Everest Base Camp in Nepal and multi-day trails in Patagonia
- Participating in a 10-day Vipassana meditation in Israel and exploring spirituality in India
- Travelling through South America, celebrating carnival in Rio and Salvador, learning Spanish in Buenos Aires, and completing a 30-day salsa Journey in Colombia
Reading through my list can mislead you to believe that my life was all rosy. Trust me, I had my share of struggles as well, which I talk about in detail in my book, The Art of Fully Living.
To me, struggles are not the enemy. They exist to teach us lessons, make us stronger, and prepare us for the road ahead.

Here's a short biography (in third person):
Tal Gur is an entrepreneur, author, and mentor who has made it his life's mission to help people discover their true potential and live life to the fullest. He is the author of the book "The Art of Fully Living," which chronicles his journey from a successful but unfulfilled career in the tech industry to a life of adventure and purpose.
Born and raised in Israel, Tal Gur had always been curious about the infinite possibilities of self-expression and the human potential. After completing his military service, he went on to earn a degree in computer science and engineering and landed a job in the tech industry. On the surface, he appeared to be living the dream - a high-paying job, a nice house, and a comfortable lifestyle. However, deep down, he felt unfulfilled and unhappy. He realized that he had been living his life according to society's expectations, rather than pursuing his own callings and purpose.
Determined to find a more meaningful path, Tal embarked on a journey of self-discovery. He quit his job, sold everything he owned, and set out to explore the world. Over the course of a decade, he traveled to more than 50 countries, engaged in personal discovery and experiential activities exploration, and pursued his passions with a renewed sense of purpose.
Through his travels, Tal discovered the key to living a fulfilled life - a combination of purpose, passion, and adventure. He learned that true fulfillment comes not from material possessions or societal status, but from pursuing what truly matters to you and living life on your own terms.
Tal is also the founder of Elevate Society, a space that helps people discover their purpose, overcome limiting beliefs, and create a fulfilling life. Through his work, Tal has helped countless individuals transform their lives and find the courage to pursue their passions.
Tal shares his own struggles and failures openly and encourages his clients to embrace their imperfections and take action despite their fears. He believes that true growth and fulfillment come not from avoiding failure, but from embracing it as a natural part of the journey. Through his writing, coaching, and personal example, he has shown that it is never too late to pursue your passions and create a life of purpose and adventure.
A portion of all proceeds from Elevate University and its personal development programs supports Kiva, a non-profit organization providing micro loans to entrepreneurs in developing countries.
It’s our mission to empower individuals to reach their potential and help creating equal opportunities for all. See our impact illustrated on the map, or check the latest figures on the Elevate Society's team page at Kiva.
Stand with us on this transformative journey as we aim to make a lasting impact. Join us in our collective mission to reach the one million mark by the end of this decade. To join, simply subscribe below, and when you receive our email, reply to it. We will promptly send you the link and provide all the necessary details for joining our goal.
Why Kiva? Kiva advocates lending, rather than charity. What often happens with charity is that it can lead to dependency rather than empowerment. Lending through Kiva, on the other hand, does not assume we know better than the locals. There is no teaching involved, nor dependency, just simple empowerment.

It is very impressive how you have operationalized your content for personal transformation. The growth of the services you offer, the rich contents of your E-mails provoke readers to look at their self in depth. More specifically, your content and questions are provocative, and challenge individuals to take an in-depth snap of themselves, and identify where they are falling short of utilizing their vast potential. Your way of thinking and how you present your ideas and thoughts in your emails aligns well with me and I haven't had the same impact with others (there have been many). Your gifts of yourself to your readership are an invitation to grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. I sense you give your all to anything you undertake. Your writings and numerous inner and outer journeys stop me in my tracks for the moment. You facilitate me to stop, look and listen; to pray, meditate and contemplate; to embrace silence, stillness and simplicity… Earle B.
The biggest value is your emails get me in action and going (again) - onward and upwards with a playful gist to it. Thank you. Christina M.
